Internship Opportunity - Communications Assistant

The Center for Economics and Social Policies (CEAS) of the Universidad Mayor, led by economist Claudia Sanhueza, is looking for a student of the journalism career to carry out a 6-month internship at our Research Center, as a communications assistant, starting as soon as possible and with a dedication of 4 hours a week.

One of the main objectives of CEAS is to conduct rigorous, relevant and innovative research in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment to address society's concerns about inequality in its multiple dimensions, economic development, and social welfare. Therefore, the communication of research and academic activities that we develop is a fundamental tool for its impact on society. We also believe that an internship at CEAS can become an opportunity for professional experience in this area.

The main function will be to support the work of the CEAS Coordinator in communication activities, such as updating the website and social networks and generating communication content to publicize the activities of CEAS and its research.

The call is for journalism students of the Universidad Mayor. Financing is contemplated to cover food and transportation costs.

Skills and characteristics required:

• Excellent strategic communication skills.
• Interest in the research carried out by CEAS (https://ceas.umayor.cl/)
• Use of English, advanced reading and writing.
• Excellent drafting
• Autonomy, proactivity, responsibility and organization are expected.
