CEAS' Director, Claudia Sanhueza, will dictate a "Future Seminar" in the Huechuraba Campus, Universidad Mayor. The presentation, titled "Gender socioeconomical inequalities" will focus on a myriad of themes regarding gender that have been central to Dr. Sanhueza's research agenda.
About the presentation
Human capital is usually believed to be the main predictor of gender gaps. However, although women have reached high educational levels as a whole, they still are missing from the spaces where important decisions are made on a societal level. Claudia Sanhueza seeks to identify variables different to human capital to understand gender gaps, such as maternity, competitiveness, self-confidence, risk aversion, subjective assessments of professional and life tracks and prosocial behavior, amongst others.
