The Center for Economics and Social Policies recently joined as a member of two international networks: Rethinking Economics and De América Soy. This is understood as part of the effort made by the CEAS to insert itself into relevant discussions worldwide in the disciplines that define it.
What are they and what do these institutions propose?
Rethinking Economics is an international network of students, academics and professionals who seek to generate a better understanding of the economy in society and in the classroom. Through a mix of campaigns, events and projects, Rethinking Economics seeks to connect people around the world to discuss and appropriate the future of the economy, and lead the debate on what defines this discipline today. De América Soy, on the other hand, it is a network of autonomous Latin American groups that seek to rethink our way of understanding and doing the economy, based on the cultural and historical contexts of the region. It is composed of students, teachers and other citizens who seek to participate in the creation of fairer, more plural and sustainable societies.
