On November 8, an international workshop entitled “Rethinking global capitalism” was organized, organized by the Center for Economics and Social Policies, the Center for Conflict and Social Cohesion Studies (COES) and the Institute of Political Science of the Universidad Católica.
The event brought together more than 15 national and international academics, including the CEAS researcher Aldo Madariaga and the academic Barbara Stallings of University of Brown, with the objective of discussing the validity of the book "Dependence and Development in Latin America" by Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Enzo Faletto, written 50 years ago and used as a reference in development studies Worldwide.
