The XXIV Congress of Agrarian Economists organized by the University of Chile will be held on December 12 and 13, and will be attended by the researcher of the Center for Economics and Social Policies, Rodrigo Pérez Silva. The event will be held at the Institute of International Studies of the Universidad de Chile, at Avenida Condell 249, Providencia, and will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Rodrigo Pérez Silva will make two presentations at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday 12, entitled “The effects of trade liberalization on rural-urban sectoral employment, wages and earnings: Evidence from Peru’s second wave of liberalization”, and “Evolution of employment and relative income of agricultural workers in Chile. The increasing participation of temporary workers and women ”.
About the activity
This year, the theme addressed in the XXIV Congress of Agrarian Economists is: "Rethinking our food system", an instance that seeks to create reflection on nutrition problems, food chains and sustainable production of natural resources.
