The prolific author Kathya Araujo (Instituto de Estudios Avanzados USACH y Directora Centro Núcleo Milenio Autoridad y Asimetrías de Poder) will make a presentation this wednesday, August 21st at 15:30, of her work titled "Inequality perception and socio-historical processes in Chile. An analysis of street interactions" in the classroom ACSR 302, located in Alameda 2027.

The presentation will discuss the way in which transformation processes that society has been through in the last few decades (democratization and neoliberalism) have influenced perceptions on inequality and its hierarchies, illustrated by the street interaction investigation she has conducted. With this presentation, an attempt to discuss the reasons why facing inequalities uniquely from an economical framework seems to not be enough to tackle this issue in its full capacity.
